Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has signed and successfully executed the EPCC Project with MHAA and its Foreign Alliances for the installation of LPG Recovery Plant, Compressors and Allied Facilities at Nashpa Field. NASHPA and MELA gas fields are located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The objective of the PROJECT is to construct a gas processing facility at NASHPA to process raw gas of NASHPA and separator gas from MELA Field. MP separator and stabilizer gas at MELA will be compressed through an Offgas compressor, and this gas will be combined with existing HP MELA separator gas for transportation from MELA through a trunk line to NASHPA. The MELA and NASHPA combined gas is the feed for the Mol sieve and LPG plant. The NASHPA plant will produce LPG, Sales Gas, and Stabilized Condensate, helping minimize the energy crises in Pakistan.
The project covers Wellhead facilities, Gas Gathering System (excluding flowlines) and Gas Processing Plant (including LPG Recovery Plant). The gas processing plant is intended to normally process 98 MMSCFD with a design margin of 10%. OGDCL engaged MHAA and its alliances to execute and commission the project on a complete responsibility basis.
The facility has been engineered to optimize resource extraction and processing in compliance with international industrial safety and efficiency protocols. By utilizing advanced technological standards and process safety guidelines, the Nashpa processing facility plays a critical role in stabilizing energy distribution and fuel security networks across the northern grid.
Anticipated Production Capacity
The facility processes combined gas flow rates to deliver the following daily production metrics under standard operating cycles:
- 90 MMSCFD Sales Gas & Fuel Gas
- 16,800 Bbl/day Condensate Production
- 1,120 Bbl/day NGL (Natural Gas Liquids)
- 373 Mton/day LPG Recovery
- 1 Mton/day Propane
- +150 Bbl/day from Mela Field added during winter operation
